La Crocetta

Pier Giorgio's parish church in Turin, from where he was confirmed and buried, is known by the locals as "La Crocetta" because of its location near an intersection.  The church was located just across the street from the family home. Pier Giorgio could view the bell tower from his bedroom. A mosaic on the side of the church features St. John Bosco and Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati.  Downstairs, both a youth area and small chapel are named in his honor.
